how about you go to the Phillipines and throw a big bash. then get all of the other family to put in as much money as possible and all of you surprise her with a sewing machine!

I know I would love that and I am a Grandma.:-)

I'd like to say that I like your blog. You have a great way of adding the links in it and keeping your own blog about your things. So much better than all the blogs with useless texts in it. I really appreciate it.
As for your grandma. Go and visit her. It is the best thing that you can give. If you can afford to, then bring a sewing machine with you. But surely go and visit!

@ Suzanne - I am happy to know that you liked my blog. I think after a year of blogging I am learning more and more. I don't wanna turn away readers. I love my readers;)!

Thanks I think I most probably visit - I mean it's better to celebrate life while we can right? ;)

My choice is give her a sewing machine which she really wants. A birthday bash is great but only lasts a day. A sewing machine keeps her mind and creative juices running (essential for elderly people), plus of course , everytime she sees her sewing machine, she will always be reminded of your love and devotion to her. And the satisfaction of creating something out from her ideas and from the sewing machine will give her more joy than a birthday bash.

Visit her! That's the best gift you could give her.

Why not a trip to Singapore and a sewing machine. I would choose those, if I were your Grandma. But the SG trip for me would be the 7th. I used to go to Singapore annually, all expense paid-for by my American business principals:-) But that was a long, long time ago.

Cheers to your Grandma and You (such a loving granddaughter)

She sounds fabulous! Well, I think you should give her what you think she wants the most. The best gift is always something that the recipient really wanted.

I sure am. I have 4 grandsons. 15 all the way down to 9 months old. Now I am so glad you liked my idea.

I also came to call to invite you to join some of us in spreading around some love for Valentine's day.

I do so hope you will join us. Hey this is my new blog too. It's almost finished.

And at my other blog I am running a really simple....simple contest for 500 EC points. And all you have to do is look at a photo and leave the best possible comment you can think of.

Hope to see you at both places!!:-)

Jade you're so lucky to have grandma. I've never met my paternal grandma. Try to spend much time with her. Go to the Philippines if you can. It's too uncomfortable for her at her age to make the journey to S'pore. :-) Angie

I know alot of people say giving cash is bad (a strange opinion if you ask me) but personally cash allows the person in question to buy what THEY want, not what the person THINKS they want - not that I am saying this about this case.

So I would either give her Cash or buy here the Sewing Machine.
